Thanks to the Awesome Foundation, I had an Awesome Afternoon!

I have an AWESOME time raising money for charities close to my heart. I get to do something I love, writing and illustrating, and I get to make a difference for people I care about. In my local paper, I read about the Awesome Foundation, which looks for people in our community who are, well, awesome! The grant recipient earns $1,000 to help in fulfilling awesomeness! I applied, and I received the grant to read and distribute my second book, Jack on a Plaque, to the kindergarten class of my former elementary school.  I had a great afternoon meeting all of the eager children and sharing my story of perseverance.
